Our history
1912
Founding of the company Robert Kraemer as a commercial enterprise in Bremen
Robert Kraemer founds his trading company.
1928
We now deal in natural resins
Since 1928, KRAEMER has been trading not only in honey, milk, wool and other goods, but also in natural resins such as rosin. This was the important and decisive step towards today's product range. Since then, KRAEMER has developed into a manufacturer of high-quality and bio-based resins and binders.
1938
Wow! Largest importer of rosin in Germany
Barrels and barrels - full of rosin. This is probably what it looked like on Robert KRAEMER's premises back then.
1950
We establish the "Lackharzwerke"
A daring step! Paints and varnishes were in demand, and for that you need resins and binders. A jump into the deep end that was worth it.
1952
Industrial production of rosin-based resins in Bremen
Finally, the time has come: our first "real" reactor goes into operation and secures KRAEMER the "mass production" of rosin-based resins.
1955
Laying the cornerstone of the present-day main plant in Rastede
Our main plant in Hahn is the cornerstone of our business. From here, we send our resins all over the world. But a lot has changed since the foundation stone was laid. We have become even bigger, more modern and more productive. Since then, the workforce has grown a lot too!
1965
We want to grow: Building the Delmenhorst branch
Our branch plant in Delmenhorst. We are increasing our production capacity.
1966
We research and develop: Establishment of an R&D laboratory
A dream came true! Right at the forefront: our own developments from our own laboratory.
1987
Disposal of all waste water and gas via thermal post-combustion
The installation of our post-combustion plant is another milestone.
1994
There’s more: Expansion of production at Rastede with 20t reactors
Since 1994, we have been the proud owners of additional, large reactors. The most modern that could be obtained at that time was installed at our plant. Thus, we combine quality with quantity for the benefit of our customers.
1997
We develop radiation-curable resins
Our R&D laboratories are now also researching radical and cationic UV systems. Many of these bring ecological benefits. Unique at the time!
2003
There’s more: Opening of a central warehouse, administration and R & D building in Rastede
Finally, the time has come: All obstacles are out of the way and we are building our new warehouse and a large building, where not only the administration will move in, but also the R&D will get brand new laboratories.
2011
Aiming high: Construction of a new high-rack warehouse in Rastede
State-of-the-art, effective, safe - that is our new high-bay warehouse.
2012

2020
We are building a new production site in Rastede
Since 2020, we have been building our new production site in Liethe.
2023
Opening of the new production site
After about three years of construction, we open our production facility in Liethe.
