Urethane resins are offered by Robert Kraemer GmbH & Co. KG under the brand name Kramorex. Because of their special modifications, these polyurethanes show good adhesion, flexibility and compatibility. The excellent adhesion properties enable reducing the use of other adhesion additives, such as TAA (titanium acetyl acetonate). Due to the wide compatibility with other binders, i.e. NC (nitro cellulose/nitro lacquers) or PVB (polyvinyl butyral), urethanes are often used in lacquers, inks (e.g. jet inks) and printing inks, especially in gravure and flexo printing inks.
These oligomeres and/or polymeres are produced through a reaction of polyisocyanates with polyoles. Here, polyether polyoles as well as polyester polyoles are used. Because of the urethane structure, good adhesion and intermediate adhesion on critical surfaces, such as plastic or metal is achieved. These properties are further optimized through Kraemer-specific modification. Pigment wetting is improved here as well.
